Note: I have this pocket watch (serial 3760061). Your
information indicates a manufacturing date of
1918. This could be correct, however, our
understanding is that our grandfather bought it
new and had it engraved (the date on the engraving
is 11/27/27). It is certainly possible that it
was made in 1918 and not sold till 1927 or that my
grandfather actually bought it use, but a raise
this question. As an aside, I note it still runs
perfectly.
Curator Response: Based on the serial number, the estimated production date should be accurate within +/- 3 Years. Make sure you are searching under the proper manufacturer and verify that you are using the serial number from the movement (not the case). Feel free to upload images to your account, and I will take a closer look.
